The park’s many rides provide entertainment for young and old, for thrill seekers and the more timid visitors. If you have the need for speed there is Rush Rider, a surfing simulation ride; Bubble’s Barrel which lets you ride the waves on a board and Dawwama which spirals you down a tube which get progressively smaller and faster. There are a number of really high rides and a loop the loop enclosed slide ride.

Other rides take you upside down or floating down a lazy river in inner tubes. Bandit Bomber is a suspended rollercoaster which travels for 550 meters and includes water and laser effects. Water Wars is a water balloon war zone; Amwaj is a man-made beach with waves lapping up on the shore and there is a play and spray area for the whole family. For really young visitors there are several safe play areas where parents won’t need to worry about their kid’s safety too much. In the Tot’s Playground the slides are low and the water flows gently.

Life vests must be worn by those under 1.2 meters in the Amwaj Wave Pool but in addition, there are life vests available for guests to use for all the rides if they feel the need. You are not allowed to bring in your own flotation device. There are lockers available in three sizes for a one-off fee starting at AED40. No food or drinks are allowed to be brought into the park from outside.

There are several food outlets on the grounds so you shouldn’t go hungry. Some of the food outlets have a kid’s menu and others serve fast food like pizza, burgers and snacks. All guests need to buy a ticket even if you do not plan on getting in the water but have only come to watch the kids. In addition to the male and female changing facilities there are changing facilities in the family locker area. If you want to create a family base during your visit to the park think about renting a cabana. If you have forgotten your towels you can buy or rent (AED35) them in the park.

The park has created an exciting distraction for kids called Pearlmasters Treasure Hunt. Kids can register (and pay) then they are shown a short explanatory film about how to tackle the treasure hunt. Next they set out, armed with the Book of Wisdom” to solve clues and discover hidden treasure in the park. The Book of Wisdom holds clues, poems, stories and puzzles. Kids can play alone, with a group or with their parents as companions. The kids run around the park solving mysteries and discovering treasure while parents can relax. This is one way they can use their brains rather than their sliding and swimming skills in the park.
